Samantha mccaleb spends her summer with Meridian law

Meridian Law is excited to introduce our summer associate, Samantha McCaleb. Samantha is a rising third-year at Belmont University College of Law where she serves as Moot Court President, Associate Editor of the Belmont Law Review, Student Ambassador, Student Bar Association leadership, and an active member of the Belmont College of Law American Inn of Court. This past spring, Samantha was named the 8th best advocate at the National Appellate Advocacy Competition. In addition to Meridian, Samantha is working as a summer research assistant for her Legal Writing professor. In the fall, she will be clerking for Justice Bivins. To say we are proud of her is an understatement.

Before law school, Samantha graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Vocal Performance and a minor in Business Studies. She is also a trained classical pianist and has a degree in opera performance. Samantha’s music background has inspired her to use her career to help people and businesses protect their products and artistic works.

“We have really enjoyed getting to know and working with Samantha,” says Tom Shumate, Meridian’s founder and managing member. “She has done great work for Meridian and our clients while continuing to manage her various leadership positions and law school commitments. She has demonstrated the perfect blend of not being afraid to tackle something new while knowing when to ask questions. She is extremely efficient and has juggled projects from multiple partners while making it look easy. Our team loves working with her and know that she has a bright future ahead of her!”
